Instant messaging system (abbreviation for IMS) of Shandong Rural Cooperative Union (abbreviation for SRCU) is a financial message platform, which is designed to adapt the development of financial business in the future and enrich the methods of financial service and improve the level of financial service. The goal of the system is to build a unified message service platform in SRCU, which is directly connected with mobile operator, such as China Mobile, China Unicom and CNC, and business system of SRCU. By using GSM, CDMA and PHS, this platform can provide various banking financial service for SRCR clients, such as inquiry of account, settlement transaction and financial information service. In this paper we detailed the requirement analysis, system design, development and implementation for IMS of SRCU, based on the traditional waterfall software developing method together with C, Java and JSP as development tools. We analyzed the backgrounds of the system development, similar instant messaging system of domestic and overseas as well as present status of mobile banking, and described the business requirement related to IMS of SRCU, and then proposed the main problems that IMS need solve. Finally we stated the design of architecture and global situation, and elaborated the IMS database design and implementation, as well as test results.Based on the practical situation of SRCU, we solved several problems as following.1. We meet the requirement of dirtributed/concentrative system of SRCU. Currently the business data of SRCU Integrated Business System still are stored at individual city. Considering the cost, management and the development in the future, SRCU need build a unified IMS. The server of IMS is deployed at network center of SRCU, and is connected with Integrated Business System of a city through intermediate business platform of that city to implement the interaction of different business data.2. We meet the requirement of multiple juristic person in SRCU. There are multiple juristic persons in credit cooperative, county-level cooperative union and city-level cooperative union. Our system define different cost based on different level sites, which is fit to the stucture of multiple juristic person in SRCU.3. We implement the modularization assembling. According to the requirement of SRCU network security that the official network should be insulated from business network, the web module of the system manages partial system function by using web page in official network, and the scheduling module and database module are applied in business network.4. We decrease cost. The IMS of SRCU is based on Linux operation system, which is a kind of low-cost operation system for its open source code. The Linux operation system can be deployed on various computer platforms, including PC, PC server, Unix Server, medium-scale computer and large-scale computer, and create the convenient conditions to transplant applcation software among different computer platformss. Furthermore, as Linux is the open source software, there are many volunteers who are collaboratively working on internet to improve it, therefore the detection of bugs and function improvement of it are quicker, all of which decrease the risk of use and management so that decrease the management cost.5. The IMS has the convenient and flexible third-part interface. It provide the third-pary interface in the forms of file and TCP respectively, which is easy to make other system use IMS to send message. At present, IMS provides automatic equipment alarm, meeting notifying, mail notifying and productive system notifying on important issues. The IMS has been applied in SRCU, and meet the business requirement, achieving the expected effect.
