Design And Implementation Of An Operation Monitoring And Management Platform For Police 9912 System

With the rapid development of computer technology, computer applications have been pervaded every field in public security domain. As the impetus of our work in a modem information age, computer is playing a more and more important role in each operation. In the mean time, the working mode of computer has developed from stand-alone terminal to network co-operation, and the numbers of computers ever-growing, the mode of work more and more complex. So it is a great increase in menaced of computer security factors. In accordance with the current situation, more and more attentions have been paid to how to manage the large IT system scientifically for its safe and stable function.To face this challenge, we design and implement an operation monitor and management platform (OMC) to monitor and manage all computers, network hardware and applications of police 9912 system. This platform is based on Browser/Sever system. It provides following functions effectively: real time supervision, sound and light warning, event informing based on tactics, warning information selective filtering and historical information inquiry. In this paper, we analyze the feasibility and requirement of the platform firstly. And then we design the software architecture, and implement every subsystem and its modules. Finally, OMC platform is evaluated through test operation.Now OMC platform is deployed and used in Shanghai and Beijing police department, and begins to take effect.
