| Data transmission in wireless channels with high speed and reliability is required in future wireless systems. OFDM has recently received considerable attentions, which can not only effectively enhance the transmission rate and capacity of the wireless communication system but also effectively combat multi-path fading and interfere. Therefore, the application of OFDM in wireless communication systems is robust and remarkable.In this paper, based on the introduction of fading channel, the basic principle and key technologies of OFDM system are analyzed. Furthermore the channel estimation techniques and some correlative techniques in OFDM are discussed in detail, with the emphasis on pilot-based estimation methods, and also several basic algorithms are given.Based on the above analysis, as an application of OFDM technology in practice, the WLAN IEEE802.11a system model is introduced. OFDM system simulation is carried through by use of the Matlab, signal generation, noise generation, pilot insertion, cyclic prefix, modulation, demodulation, and other design are completed. Finally, the analysis and comparison of these key technology (pilot, cyclic prefix, estimation algorithm) of the system is made by computer simulation. |
