Research On Design And Relevant Technology Of Fixed Income Trading Platform

As rapid development of information technology, people's life changes a lot and service revolution and innovation rise in every industry. Due to the growing of web application, especially the success of Rich Internet Application recently, browser application becomes the trend when building corporation IT software systems.Rich Internet Application combines the advantages of desktop application and browser application, and provides great user experience. Adobe Flex is the most popular rich internet technology. Using Flex in J2EE is a great idea when building software systems, and will be the first choise when designing a corporation software system in the near future.In regard to financial industry, it benefits a lot from high performance due to using IT technology. Fixed Income Trading Platform is one of first-rank Fixed Income IT products in production, and it is available for multiple markets and carrys out innovative trading models of fixed income security. This paper summarizes the reusable parts including resuable components, resuable design ideas, messaging solutions and performance tuning strategy as the reference for other similar software systems.This paper takes the design and implementation of Fixed Income Trading Platform as an example, presents the research on the issues and concerns when building a financial software system using Adobe Flex. This Paper first introduced one famous RIA technology -Flex and one popular message concept-Comet, then analysed the requirements and specifications of Fixed Income Trading Platform", and draw the high level architecture of the platform. We designed and implemented the presentation layer of the platform from quite an important point of view: Quality Attributes including reusability, configurability, scalability and maintainability which are always mentioned in other layers rather than presentation layer of rich internet application. An innovative real-time messaging of server push solution based on HTTP for flex client is introduced. This solution has been involved in Fixed Income Trading Platform messaging implementation.
