With the continuous development of expressway construction in our country, the expressway tunnels are to be put into service which is increasing along with the increase of mileage open to traffic in mountainous area day after day. However, high vehicle speed design, big vehicle flow rate and high density of vehicles stream cause great threat of the expressway traffic safety. Especially when entering the expressway tunnel, as the ray's light and shade have rapid change, human's vision drops suddenly, and the traveling driver have great risk through the tunnel. However, if we increase the illumination blindly to enhance the tunnel's brightness, a lot of the operation expense will be lost.This paper adopt fuzzy adjust illumination to control the energy conservation with tunnel lighting.Tunnel lighting have influenced by the factor of vehicle speed, vehicle flowrate, tunnel ambient exterior and so on. The lamps used for lighting have different luminescent efficiency in different power situation, and it is very difficult to establish a precise mathematical model for adjust illumination. This paper proposes the fuzzy neural network model with learning ability for the tunnel illumination control system, according to environment parameter (vehicle speed, vehicle flowrate, tunnel ambient exterior and so on), we change automatic revision control programme to control the real-time energy conservation.First, this paper has carried out the summary to the present situation of the tunnel lighting control method, and then carried out the summary to the basic principle of the fuzzy control, the neural network and the fuzzy neural network. According to"tunnel ventilation lighting design specification", this paper complete the tunnel lamp laying with Electrodeless Magnetic Discharges Lamp, and complete checking calculation of the tunnel lighting illumination. According to the actual situation of the tunnel, complete the tunnel model. Complete the whole plan for adjust illumination which including the upper computer, PLC, the Single Chip Microcomputer and the LED lamp. Using configuration software WinCC, complete the design of tunnel lighting monitoring platform in the upper machine. Coalesce the fuzzy control and the neural network, complete the self-adaptive fuzzy neural network control of the tunnel illumination, write program with VC embed in the tunnel illumination monitors platform.System test part use completed tunnel lighting model, validate the energy conservation effect with the fuzzy adjust illumination based on fuzzy neural network.Finally, the paper has a generalization and crystallizes the deficiency of the method, and then brings forward the suggestion for the next steps and the problems to solve, such as coalesce actual tunnel, coalesce tunnel lighting monitoring platform and tunnel ventilation.
