The Analysis And Design Of BPEL-Based Workflow Engine

Workflow technology is a key technology to enterprise business process modeling, simulating, optimizing, management and integration, for the purpose of realizing business process automation. The research and application of workflow technology has great significance to enterprises. As the fast e-business development in Internet, traditional workflow management systems (WfMS) can't meet the requirement of modem business process management any more. They don't provide enough support to dynamic and inter-organization business processes because lacking agility and interoperability. Our solution is to introduce one of the latest technology - Web Services to improve WfMS performance. Web Services --based workflow management has dynamic and interoperation features; it invokes and controls business activities to make the communication among the business activities in the Internet easier and more convenient. The Web Services-based WfMS is put forward to satisfy the new demands of modern enterprises for workflow management information system. The BPEL discussed in this thesis is based on the Web Service. BPEL is a new specification about Web Service integration that published by IBM, Microsoft and BEA etc.First of all, this paper introduces the technologies of workflow, Web Services and BPEL. The current situation of our university digitization campus is analyzed. To information construction of our university entirety, the frame has been made improvement. In the new frame, Business Process Layer is used for business process. The structure is given to out and its core is workflow engine. We have defined the service of Core Services Layer and Composition Layer again. Based on the information construction characteristic of our university graduate school, we decide to look on the web service as a key technology and BPEL as business process model language.BPEL-Based Workflow Engine is designed. It mainly contains three modules, and they are BPEL processor, process and activity module. the structure of BPEL processor and designed the BPEL processor are been given. Entire schedule process and the management measure of receiving and message queue are been given. At the same time, we have given the activity state changes relation based on BPEL criterion.We have achieved a prototype system that is based on the workflow engine measure. The educate management system to the graduate student has the carried out to be another structure. We have given the architecture of the new system. In this way, we have made workflow engine and educate management system work together.
