The mobile Ad-Hoc networks do not require any exitsting infrastructure or central administration. Therefore, mobile Ad-Hoc networks are suitable for temporary communication links. These networks are very important in the areas of military affairs, emergencies and medical treatments.Routing algorithms in mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANET's) should match the special characteristics of MANETs. It should be self-configured, self-built and distributed routing algorithm. This paper analyses the several routing protocols in the Ad-Hoc networks, including AODV, DSDV, DSR, TORA and so on, It also compares the performance of four key ad-Hoc routing protocols by simulation on NS2. It evaluates the simulation results with three parameters: the packet delivery fraction, the End-to-end delay and the average hops. The QoS(Quality of Service) is very important to the networks, so is it in mobile Ad-Hoc networks. This paper also gives some QoS routing protocols in the Ad-Hoc networks. These QoS protocols are very important in future.Ant Colony Routing Algorithm based on Pheromone Diffusion for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (ARAPD), which is a biological based routing algorithm. This algorithm is inspired from the ant colonies'life.Forward packets are used to collect information about the network and backward packets are used to update the routing information in the nodes. The pheromone will diffuse to other neighbor links in the ARAPD.It is different from the basic ant colony algorithm .The paper provides a description of the algorithm.
