Research On The Integrity Of Journalists In The Covert Coverage

As a special form of interview, the Covert Coverage is frequently used in recent years and arouses the attention of the media and audience. But at the same time,the Covert Coverage triggers much controversy in the theorists. Because the Covert Coverage has some different characteristics from the public interview, the Covert Coverage can easily lead to a number of problems in the course of practice.In the implementation of the Covert Coverage, journalists always lose ground on the problem of the integrity. In the Covert Coverage journalists will not be identified and they use secret tools by means of interview. All of these will reduce to the deception of the identity and the interview tool. Some journalists even hide their interview purpose in question or scheme news. We call these"revulsion". As the person of information collection and social observation, the reporter should play an exemplary role in the side of the social integrity. The in-integrity activity not only hurts the integrity of morality, but also increases the difficulty of interview because the interviewed are alert to journalists.But there is a consensus in the domestic and abroad media: When the interview is hidden for noble purposes, its deceptive manner is insignificant. The reasons of journalists'disproval are the principle of public interest and the increase of whole social justice.The analysis of integrity in my paper is to reduce the trouble of the integrity so that the Covert Coverage become better and better. In my views, faced to the problem of journalists'integrity, we should try our best at the following three aspects: the journalists'self-discipline, the establishment of the Covert Coverage operating regulations and the early emergence of the news'law.
