| In recent years, because of the well-known advantages of digital TV technology, the transition from analog TV to digital TV has become obviously faster and faster.This paper is a research on receiving technology of Set Top Box of cable digital television conformed to MPEG-2 and DVB-C. In this paper, firstly, the structure of hardware platform and the function of hardware parts are discoursed; Secondly, the software system is studied from the point of view of software levels and software modules, and the function of every software level and every software module is also discussed detailedly.Based on discoursed the structure of hardware platform and the software system of STB, the main task in this paper is designed and achieved technology of STB loader system. The STB is based on the system blue print of PNX3810 provided by Company Philips, and the new organization of Flash memory space, the storage ways of STB information and the boot process after integrated Loader are designed and achieved. The design of data released for mat and flowchart of software Upgrade by air and by serial port is completed. The function of software upgrade by air and by serial port is integrate into STB software system, so the STB has the capacity of upgrading software by air and by serial port on-line.The results of this paper's research have been applied to upgradeing software of STB for some TV station, has made an important contribution to the software system of digital TV technology. |
