Research And Application Of The Decision Support System Based On OLAP

OLAP is a technology in data analyzing and processing, which is accompanied by the advent of Data Warehouse. It can help the analyst to make good use of the data in Data Warehouse, form the intelligible data snapshot quickly in various aspect and different level, thereby, it help the government user to make clear about the current state and tendency of the social and local economy. Until now, there are many foreign companies having made relatively mature software product of OLAP, but it is rare in our country.Many current OLAP server is unsuited to analyze the data of government, and the efficiency is relatively low, because its structure is too complicated to the user. So we can develop the server independently to be in line with the real demand of the user, to be more adapt for analyzing the government data.This article put forward a model of OLAP which is suited for Decision Support System, moreover it raise the mode of detail execution. The article divided the model into three parts Search Session Management Module, Aggregating Management Module, Schema management Module. Moreover it elaborates on how to aggregate and drill the data in Data Warehouse.Finally, this article develops the model of OLAP in Decisive Supportive System, which meet the requirement of the system and the real user. It describes the schema file in XML which is managed via the data source management system. It can observe the data in multiple dimension via designed cubes. The OLAP server save the result of the searching into its cache whenever it works, thus it can reduce the similar operation to raise the efficiency.
