With the development of IC technology, the complexity of current design keeps growing. Functional verification ensures that the design and implementation meets its specification and costs more and more time. Verification of microprocessor is the most complicated part of all verification work.T DSP is a low power 16-bit fixed point DSP processor. T DSP has a Modified Harvard architecture with multiple buses. Firstly, some different function verification methods are introduced and the method to evaluate the verification results. This thesis mainly focuses on the implementation of an automatic verification platform and a random test program generator. It brings out good automation and reusability.Besides, the efficiency of pseudo-random verification method is some kind of low and this thesis made some improvement. Artificial Neural Networks is involved to tune the priority of test vector dynamically. Then a reusable representation of priority is introduced. The verification method introduced improved the verification automation and reusability.
