| Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology is an emerging transmitting technology for short-distance wideband and high speed wireless communication. It is featured with high system capacity, low power spectral densities, exceptional multi-path immunity, simple structure and low probability of detection. It is considered as one of the key technologies for the next generation wireless communication.In the last few years, UWB technology has become an interest research area in wireless communication, and applying MIMO technology in the UWB system can provide space diversity, frequency and coding advantages simultaneously. Hence the research on it has great value.In this paper, the basic principle of UWB technology was firstly introduced, and the essential technology of MB-OFDM UWB system was researched. Then the principle of MIMO system was described. Through theoretic analysis the three kinds of STC technology were researched.After it the two combination scheme of space-time coding technology and MB-OFDM UWB system were given, the system model is founded and simulated. Theoretical research and simulation results show that the STC MB-OFDM UWB system has obvious performance improvement comparing with conventional MB-OFDM UWB system.The last part of this paper shows a kind of STC MB-OFDM UWB system based on linear-precoding technology. The system model is founded and simulated. The simulation result shows that the STC MB-OFDM UWB system outperforms all the systems described above. |
