Since society and people's lives are affected by the environmental problems, the relationship between the mass media and the environmental problems becomes closer and closer, which is shown in the environmental news。By constructing the environmental knowledge just known well by few scientists, by reporting the environmental problems, environmental news construct mass'environmental consciousness, and affect the establishment of environmental policies.The study on the factors which affect environmental news, will help us to report the environmental problem more scientifically and reasonably, and make the environmental news function better.This investigation revealed that the political pressure and the economic attraction are the primary factors which affect the environmental news. The Political pressure restricts environmental news by journalism policies and administrative instruments of local governments; the Economic attraction affects the media organizations in the form that the environmental news avoid to harm the reputation of advertisers; journalists under the political pressure and the economic attraction, also affect the environmental news by the personal rational choice.The reason why so many factors affect the environmental news is that the news have not play the critical function of public sphere in our country, and the immature press laws make the mass media cannot be independent; the conflicts within the media organizations make it possible that commerce affects and restricts the environmental news.
