| Image acquisition of modern technology is developing rapidly, making all kinds of image acquisition technology has been quite mature; With the functions of embedded systems in recent years continuously strengthen, embedded image acquisition system has been widely used.This paper focuses on the design the embedded image data acquisition system base on a Samsung ARM9 processor S3C2440A, and realizes the design of the embedded system hardware platform and the development the CMOS image sensor driver running in the Windows CE.net operating system on the platform. All the design ideas, methods, and the realizations of the embedded image acquisition system hardware and software platform discussed in the paper have some practical value in research and development of embedded image acquisition system. Base on the design of the system, equipped suitable software, it can be applied in many fields, such as camera, monitoring, security, identification.In this paper, according to the system functions and design principles, we have classified the hardware of system as CPU, memory, power, image sensors, and several other modules, presented the overall structure of the system hardware platform, introduced the hardware selection and performance characteristics of processor, memory and CMOS image sensor in the system. We refer to the working principle of the various modules, detail the different parts of the system circuit schematic design. The PCB of system hardware platform is designed to take into account experiments and applications, takes the design approach of the main control board and the extension board. The Processor, memory, external interface and power modules is designed in the main control board, the image sensor module is designed in expand board. We have the flexibility to replace a different image sensor extension to meet the different needs, and debug external circuit, software drivers. Then we give the results of PCB design, and sum up some notes of the high speed PCB design.The image sensor driver is designed, according to the features and principles of the camera interface unit in S3C2440A processor and the image sensor OV9650, based on the Windows CE.net driver architecture which supports S3C2440A processor. We primarily analyze the working principle of the image sensor driver; introduce the realization of image sensor streams driver function and the modification method of other image sensors driver. Testing results show that the driver can normally work in theWindows CE.net operating system and support the application of the image datacollection. The basic design of the system achieves the desired function.At last, we brief summary the whole work of this paper and describe the prospect toimprove the image acquisition system for further exploration. |
