Analyses On The Evolution Of The Hacker Culture And Its Impact

Today, almost everyone who knows a little bit of internet, will definitely hear about the word "hackers". But what is the hacker and who is the hacker, different people have significantly different opinion of it. In order to give an objective elaboration of the complexity of the disputable hacker culture, this paper will first trace back to the concept of the hacker culture and its historical development, and then explain the background of hacker culture's springing-up from historical, technical, and social aspect respectively. Meantime the paper will summarize the basic features of the hacker culture. Since the economics, politics and culturals of the society all developed and took changes, the hacker culture also had its own disunion, which is the reason why the hackers'behaviors are no longer pure. This will be discussed in this paper from three aspects as well. Finally, based on the estimate of hacker culture's influence, the paper will make a long-term outlook towards the hacker culture, with the hope of some benefit to the development of the entire Internet culture so as to build up a fine, healthy and harmonious network .
