The high-medium grade embedded OS emphasizes particularly on different level hardware-platforms and applications, its system structure and application program interface (APIs) are very different. When using most commercial embedded operation systems (e.g. VxWorks), developers should modify and choose appropriate system module for special applications for the aim of short development cycle and high development efficiency.This paper selects ReWorks embedded OS, which was developed by ECICT, Shanghai. It mainly discuss about the research work of portable ReWorks OS based on CK5 PowerPC board, designs U-Boot loader file of system, completes the BSP migration of the target machine, and realizes the ReWorks system on CK5 target board. Based on the analysis of system network protocol stack, it designs and appends the compatible network module of ReWorks OS, and realizes the network communication function of this embedded system. By the analysis of developing process and system characteristics, this paper brings forward the testing method of compositive multi-level. By testing and analysis of the system network module, it validates the real-time performance and stability of the embedded system.
