| Because of many kinds of strongpoint such as high definition, low energy consumption and being small size, TFT LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid crystal display) has become to be the most popular display mode in the world in these years. With the improvement of manufacturing technology, the LCD size became bigger and bigger, which made it more suitable to be used in LCD TV. And this change developed a wider market for LCD industry.The author of this article worked in the 3rd largest LCD manufacturing company. Base on the experience in working area and the cooperation with customers, I studied the main performance parameters of a LCD TV, What affect them, and how to improve them. The main content of this studying including:1) Introduce the complicated, layers set up structures of a LCD panel, Explain the working theory of LCD, how to control the light base on LCD's unique physical function. Introduce the LCD TV system which developed base on the LCD monitor.2) Analysis the affect of the light transmission rate of the different layers of a LCD. Function of Liquid crystal affect the luminance and the contrast ratio,provide the possible resolution of how to improve them.3) Analysis how does the voltage between the 2 side of liquid crystal and the thickness of liquid crystal affect the response time. Find out response time improve method by over drive and frame injection technology.4) The view angle of LCD TV was mainly affected by the LCD panel, the array mode of Liquid crystal including 3 different kinds, which are TN, IPS and MVA, this article provide the suggestion in how to choose the 3 different array modes.5) The excursion of Vcom (voltage common) will cause pattern flicker. To solve this problem, this article provides the solution of how to make Vcom stable.6) Introduce 3 kinds newest performance improvement methods in LCD TV technology, which are moving contrast ratio, double frame and LED back light. These new technology is the necessary condition to be a leadership in LCD TV industry.
