With the development of teaching reform and course construction, a new marginal subject called computer-aided teaching was formed along with the tight link between modern education and computer. Meanwhile, the remote education must be implemented with the link between modern education and Internet. Therefore, the discussion and research of intelligent exercise practice system based on Web will have especially practical significance. The face-to-face teaching can be cyberized by the traditional software of CAI and its keystone focus on teaching study content while the extraction of exercise was usually be neglected and the suitable exercise can not be extracted according to the special study condition. In addition, the study condition of student can not be evaluated fully by the traditional evaluation technique for the reason that the exercise practiced by the student can just be judged right or wrong simply and the cognitive level of the Conner can not be reflected exactly. Based on this, it is necessary to develop an intelligent exercise practice system.On the basis of the adaptive learning theory, an implementation scheme of intelligent exercise practice system was provided in this paper by using the correlation technique such as JSP, Servlet, MySQL and so on. A B/S mode was adopted in this system. The browse can be made by the user with the browser and the search can be carried through from the browser under the control of system. Even more, a message can be sent to the server. At the same time, a student cognitive model which can reflect the cognitive ability of Conner fully was used and an intelligent extraction exercise algorithm based on the degree of knowledge mastered by the conner of this model was utilized to meet the requirement of intelligent and individual teaching. The exercises filled the demand were extracted from the exercise database according to the parameters confirmed by the algorithm on the basis of the level of the actual knowledge mastered by the Conner reflected by this model. After the practice finished, a general and reasonable evaluation was made by updating the value of the cognitive ability of the conner model instead of judging the results of this practice right or wrong simply. The learning ability and level of conner can be evaluated reasoningly and truly by this system. The learning efficiency can be enhanced and the actual situation of study can be known concretely by the conner which can instruct the next practice better.The background, concept and function modules of the intelligent exercise practice system were elaborated and the composition, operational mechanism, applicable technology and specific realization under network environment were analyzed and researched in this paper. To make the application of the online intelligent exercise practice system more successfully, the development principle, general plan, and design theory of the whole system, the demand analysis to implemented and the design and realization of the data construction were also introduced.
