A Study On QQ Facial Expressions Pictures

In this study, the popular Internet instant messaging software QQ facial expressions picture as a study object.The experimental investigation first using the survey method to campare preliminary the recognition rate of different types of emotion ,and to obtain a group of QQ facial expressions picture which the recognition rate is higher.Test 1 through the different gender,the Chinese and foreign nationality is tried to classify QQ facial expressions picture of the emotional type and to give them strength score to inspect the difference of identify rate and strength score of different type of emotion of QQ facial expression picture, and gained a group of QQ facial expression picture which identify rate higher as the next step experimental material.Test 2 through classifying the upper half face, the under half face and the overall face picture to the emotional type and giving the strength scores, to inspect the influence by the picture attribute on QQ facial expression picture .The synthesis test 1 and test 2, the conclusions of this paper were as follows: (1) different emotional QQ facial expression picture identify rate different significantly, sad rate the highest ,next is happy, disgust rate the lowest;Different emotional QQ facial expression picture strength score different significantly, sad score the highest, disgust score the lowest. (2) The gender on identifying the emotion of QQ facial expression picture rate and to scoring the strength aren't different significantly. The Chinese and foreign be tried have the identical result. (3) The location of QQ facial expression picture on identifying the emotion of QQ facial expression picture rate and to scoring the strength is different significantly. Various types of emotion of the overall face ,the identify rate of emotion and strength scores are higher than these of the upper half face and the under half face obviously;Eye and the eyebrow which are mainly of the upper half face is the main clue to identify the emotions of anger, fear and calm;Mouth and lip which are mainly of the under half face is the main clue to identify the emotion of happy;As to surprise, sadness and disgust, the difference is not significant. This result is not consistent with the situation of identification with the people facial expression picture,and we have gaved some discussion about this.
