| With the development of techniques for IT infrastructures and applications, and the requirement of the services, the IT environment becomes more and more complex. How to manage them unified to make them work better brings great challenge for the current management techniques. As for the performance management, the methods for management of traditional communication networks are not suitable enough. That's because, in IT systems, the performance parameters are many and the changes frequently, the difference among the collecting tasks can't be ignored, and there is no way learning the comprehensive running status of the system. So, it's necessary for new methods or improved measures towards these questions.In this thesis, the definition, functions and implementation of performance management of traditional communication networks were introduced firstly, and the features and facing issues of IT system performance management were analyzed. For the defining of performance parameters, a new requirements-oriented method was proposed; it covers the performance measuring requirements of service management, system management and equipment management layers. For the management of performance collecting, some improved suggestions for collecting tasks management, performance data collecting and performance data storage were given. For the management of performance threshold, the threshold management of service performance metrics was put forward. At last, the design and implementation for these methods and measures were given. |
