| With the rapid development of economy and the rising of the living standards of the people, the people's demand of security guard product boosts up. Video surveillance has been widely used in industry, national defense, public security, traffic, band, marketplace and domicile owing to intuitionistic, real-time, reliability characteristic. In the social information digitization today, the trend in video monitoring field is digital, networking and intelligent becomes more and more popular. Video monitoring system which is used mostly at present includes two kinds: one kind of video monitoring system mainly depends on supervisor watching the TV monitor at any time, and lack of intelligence. The other one could perform intelligent security, but usually has huge cubage, complicated structure, expensive price and multifarious installation and debugging, so that the system is not fit for office and family user.This paper presented an intelligent embedded video surveillance system based on ARM+DSP for video surveillance in residential quarter. The system utilizes an immobile camera to capture video images in defined areas and uses DSP to analyze video images automatically so that could locate, recognize and track objects in dynamic scenes. Then makes use of ARM to analyze actions of objects and judges whether the actions offend security rules. According the judgments, determines whether gives an alarm, transmits the judgments and video images through Ethernet and uses the PC to store and display them.Firstly introduced the background, status and content of the issue; then narrated the structure, functions and applications of ARM and DSP; next expatiated hardware design of intelligent video surveillance system based on DM642 and LPC248; worked over the structure, capture module, analysis module, HPI communication module, action rules analysis module, alarm module and network communication module; discussed software design of intelligent video surveillance system based on DM642 and LPC2478 in detail; emphatically discuss drivers design of every module, TCP/IP and HPI communication protocol design and implementation; finally introduced optimization for DSP program. |
