OPC(OLE for Process Control), an OLE technology for Process Control, provides interface specification of data integration and interoperability with Clientl/Server data system,it is widely applied in the process control and automation control industry field. Bazhou Xinjiang established KaiDuHe automatic system of hydrologic data collection and transmission since 2002, already has the large growth in data management,analysis and processing, but because of the monitoring scope and scale of hydrological system develop, in the second phase of projects in the Bazhou Xinjiang,Dong Beng-zhan and Yan QI automation system will be remotely connected to Ba Zhou hydrologic system for realizing the two system's remote sensing and control, meanwhile, HYDAS system needs compatible Dong Beng-zhan and Yan QI automation systems.Based on the second phase of projects in the Xinjiang Bazhou as a background, this paper mainly realizes remote system connecting through the OPC technology and database technology. First, OPC technology is systematically studied, OPC propertieds are analysed,such as work principle,OPC system constructure,OPC Server interface,OPC Server/Client communication flow and interoperability way. Then, actual situations of Bazhou hydrological system, Dong Beng-zhan and Yan QI automation system, are analyzed through two ways, namely the OPC way and database way, According to the above knowledge, i design the whole project, data interface flow, interface function and connect principle; also design and develop critical processes of OPC Client,UDP Server/Client,Database Server using Delphi for accessing to romote system in order to realize safely data communication and control in project.At last, this paper systematically studies flow calculating methods and the relation between water level and flow. The experiment results show the research methods are reasonable and feasible, which provides the important and sciense basis to the policy-maker.
