Water is one of the absolutely necessarily elements in peoples' working and living. Along with the development of economy and acceleration of urbanization, requirements for high stability and reliability and energy saving of equipments in waterworks were constantly improving, the optimized operation of equipment in waterworks has already become a heated subject in the field of industry controlling.The optimized system of water intake and feed designed in this paper included three modules, which were water demand quantity forecasting module, water intake controlling module and water feed controlling module. The forecasting modules was key one in the system, the precision of forecasting determined the optimized level of the system. Through water demand quantity forecasting, determining the quantity of water intake and feed and effectively controlling the quantity of operation pumps, the purpose of saving energy was realized.The objects of water demand quantity forecasting primarily included hour demand and day demand forecasting, the accurate forecasting of water demand was a effective measure to layout and manage water resource and it also was the precondition of equipment optimized operating in waterworks. By using nonlinear regression, time series, artificial neural networks, grey model analysis method, separately forecasted the demand-water in hour and day of Daqing in this paper and study the rule of changing water, moreover comparatively analyzed advantages and disadvantages of various forecast models, The forecasting system was programmed using VB and MATLAB. According to the forecasting results, water intake module, which adopted a single-chip to Real- time control pumps and acquisition data, used fuzzy estimation method to estimate efficiency of the pump, and chose pump with high efficiency to work, made minimum energy consumption of pumps. Through the above methods, it realized the optimized operation of intake pump and saving energy. In water feed controlling module, it calculated the average, minimum, maximum water of 24 hours-need through historical data, combined with water demand forecast results, and used constant-speed pumps mix with frequency conversion pump to optimize operating of feed pumps.
