Research And Design Of Business-oriented Middleware

The advancement of recent computer technology, in size, complexity and changing customer needs, is rapid and accelerating. This trend highlights the need for industry standard support platforms and has driven middleware development towards business orientation and application integration.There are two core issues faced by the development of business orientated middleware; first, how to improve productivity of development to meet the challenge of increasing rates of change; and second, how to meet the changing needs of customers.A new solution was presented to solve the two core issues:The business-oriented middleware should adopt a kind of definition to achieve the customers'specific requirements. This definition should not specify the technology; ensure expandability; and be consistent with requirements analysis.Core data model should have the ability to describe and realize the expanded requirement. So a general basic program structure is necessary. This structure is independent of operating system, database and programming language. It is important to keep program structure and the data storage model separate. These separations give the ability to reuse existing definition components and extend definition to meet future customer needs.The system designed is based on the methodology of information system reqirement analysis (Structured System Analysis and Design Method), advanced object-oriented system architecture design theory (Object-Oriented Analysis & Design), and the most recent theories of reusable software theory. The data bus is described by XML technology, and the system is developed on .NET platform. Testing of the system used to develop"Road and Transportation of Heilongjiang Province"shows that generic middleware ensures theaccumulation of application software knowledge, realizes business Reuse, shortens the period of application software development, and ensures the quality of application software.
