With the development of computer technology, wireless communication network, embedded systems, and the fusion of different new technology, many new modes of information collection and processing appear. Wireless sensor networks(WSN) is a typical example of them. As the next generation sensor network, the technology is regarded as one of the most important technology in 21st century. It is not only a new method of information obtaining and processing, but also a new kind of wireless network without basal establishment, it can accomplish collaboratively real-time detection, apperceive, and collect information of different environment ,inspect object, then deal with them, at last transmit them to user. It is new research field of computer technology, Wide application future of WSN appeal to military sector, industry sector of many countries.WSN integrate a lot of key technology, each technology has highly important application value, localization technology is the base of WSN, and also one of the hot research fields. By analysis of localization technology and application, the dissertation design a WSN assistant localization system based on time-slice, it be used in special network structure which has linear or not closed curve arrangement of beacon nodes, it could solve data collision and congestion by designing data frame and transport mechanism, the system is low-cost, easy deployment, convenient operation.On stage of implement, according to WSN of low-power, low-cost requirement, we chose low-power, low-cost wireless module and microprocessor module, and according to the system requirement, designed networks nodes program, and data analysis software, then by experiment proved its feasibility.Finally, the dissertation enumerates two typical application instances--personnel identification and positioning system in mine, vehicle localization, and design a complete solution, then evaluate speed for networks, power consumption of communication, and repair of nodes.KEY WORDS:WSN, wireless communication, Node localization, information collection, information processing...
