Zhang Yuanji is a famous expert of edition and bibliography of modern of our country. The research of his knowledge of edition and bibliography has very important guiding significance to our work of finishing ancient books. He paid much attention to edition of Song and Yuan Dynasties and edition that printed for the first time, this fully reflected in the copy of Four Series Books and Hundred Patch twenty-four History. This thought directly caused the problem of changing words in books printed by him. He paid much attention to the academic value of the edition of Song and Yuan Dynasty, at the same time he concerned about their artistic value. Under his chairmanship, the Commercial Press printed a series of large-scale books such as Sibu Congkan and Hundred Patch twenty-four History, which can be played to reform the Sikuquanshu. In addition, he chaired by the Commercial Press copied of Rare Of Sikuquanshu, and claimed the continuation of Sikuquanshu.
