The Transplantation Of Linux 2.6 Kenel And The Development Of LCD Driver Based On EP9315

With the rapid development of integrated circuit and a great deal of usage of embedded processor, the function of the embedded system is more and more powerful. As a cheaper and the open of source code operating system, Linux has been an operating system of the embedded system which is developed strongly by the domestic and international company. At the same time, with the development of the color LCD, the color LCD is widely applied by embedded system to support for color graphical interfaces and video media player. All of these make the requirement of the program of Linux LCD driver increase steadily, so research on Linux transplant and developing of LCD driver on the base of embedded system have important theoretical and practical significance.In this thesis, firstly introduce the characters of embedded system and advantages in the application of embedded system. And then give out the mainly task that porting Linux2.6 to ARM EP9315 platform and developing Linux LCD driver program. Secondly, the thesis describe the whole boot and initialization process of linux2.6 for EDB9315 platform in detail, including building the cross compiler, modifying and configuring the kernel, realizing the root file system and setting up kernel debug. Thirdly the thesis introduced the principle of Linux driver in briefly from summary of driver, classes of device, kernel module and program of module driver four aspects. And it also introduces something about the flash driver and console driver. Finally, based on the comprehensive studies on the LCD interface of EP9315 and registers, this thesis makes thorough research on developing of LCD driver.
