Electric actuator is an important equipment which controls the valve and an indispensable basic unit to constitute the generator set's bypass system. In China, a large number of intelligent electric actuators with high performance are needed to reconstruct the existing generator set's bypass system and build the newly generator set, but the domestic existing products mainly using the traditional analog control have low control precision and poor anti-jamming ability. They can't meet the practical requirements and we have to rely on the imports. Therefore, a new generation of intelligent electric actuator with good performance and low price needs to be developed urgently.In the thesis, according to the practical application of the domestic generator set's bypass system and the existing electric actuator structure including its control form home and abroad learned and analyzed deeply, the successful experience has been drawn on and a new intelligent design plan which takes Single-Chip computer as control core and uses frequency control of motor speed to control valve's work speed has been proposed. The total design, movement and momentum calculation of electric actuator structure have been done based on the plan, together with the accomplishment of detailed design about the rest mechanical structure. The CAD/CAE technology was introduced in the design and the parameterized design method was proposed. The model building, virtual assembly and motion simulation were done for the designed structure using UG software platform to make the designed structure substantial, visual and reduce the design cycle. On the basis of 3D entities and the finite element theory, the strength, stiffness and mode of mechanical structure were analyzed using ANSYS software. The distribution and natural frequency of deformation and stress were gained and the design was validated effective ensuring the designed mechanical structure meet the practical requirements.The designed intelligent electric actuator has many good characteristics, such as good currency, high control precision, stable operation, compact structure, simple operation, easy maintenance and so on, so it can meet the practical requirements of domestic generator set's bypass system. The design can achieve the international similar products'technology standard and resolve the domestic issues of intelligent electrical actuator, which not only could fill the gaps in relevant fields, but also could save a lot of foreign exchange for the country. It has a broad application prospect.
