Nowadays, security and crisis handling tuneup of emergency in the important Architectural scenarios has been given more and more attentions. With the development of the computer technology, computer-aided simulation of security tuneup of large scenarios has become a popular issue in the areas of computer graphics and virtual reality. During the security tuneup, a 3D model of emergency spot needs to be created firstly, and then a recognized environment should be provided for scourge simulation and evacuation simulation. Efficient recognization of 2D architectural drawings is essential to 3D architectural reconstruction. Therefore, extracting and efficiently recognizing of useful information in architectural drawings is an important goal of architectural 3D reconstruction. As large scale virtual architectural scenario is concerned, designing a set of computer recognized semantic context is become the research emphasis.This paper centers on architectural drawing recognization in security tuneup and the scenario semantic generating approach of fire and evacuation simulation, and the main research work is as follows:Firstly, reading and displaying of architectural drawings and preprocessing of vector graphic primitives are accomplished. Taking the popular DWG format file by AutoCAD for architectural drawings into account, our research work is independent of AutoCAD platform. After reading and displaying graphic data of visible layers in architectural drawings, we preprocess the obtained primitive vector graphic primitives. So it paves the way for the successive architectural component recognization.Secondly, an abstract semantics-based approach to architectural drawing recognizing is presented. Though the styles of drawings are various, they have much in common. This paper extracts blocks with independent semantics, adjacent parallel and close contour lines, and then completes recognization of all kinds of basic architectural component in drawings.Finally, a security tuneup-orientied approach to interactive scenario semantics generating is addressed. Computer-aided scenario recognizing and using are the bases of fire and evacuation simulation. Howerver, large part of 3D models which are reconstructed by recent popular modeling tools can not be recognized by computer, there are great difficulties for programs in extracting needed information from models. This paper gives a scenario generating approach, and designs a tool for scenario generating. By interacting to some extent, this tool efficiently extracts semantic information from 3D scenario models,implements a rapid extraction from model files to semantic files, and the exported scenario semantic files meet the needs of scenario semantic information for smoke,and flaming and evacuation simulation.
