| With the development of Radiology Therapy (RT) device,test plan, precision of targeting, radiology therapy has became an important way on tumor treatment. Especially Intensity Modulation Radiation Therapy, which delegates the developing direction. Comparably, some radiology therapy in China is still not compatible with DICOM RT (Radiotherapy in DICOM) protocol, and little advanced image processing technique is used, which greatly limit the efficiency and effect of RT.This thesis firstly introduced the current status of RT, analyzed the work in each procedure, and how DICOM RT worked with advanced image processing technique. Then part of image processing function based on a DICOM RT compatible platform was described. With the powerful tool Matlab, the method of reducing metal artifact in projection domain is discussed; multi-planar reconstruction through interpolation and matrix transformation is realized; digitally reconstructed radiograph (DRR) was generated using ray casting technique; patient offset was given out through computing mutual information between different DRR images; realization results were got and analyzed. Finally database is used to store images in the field of RT, which usually has a very large number.According to the experiment's results, the advanced image processing function can be integrated on the DICOM RT compatible platform, and realize some visual effect in three dimension. As a result, this can be an effective way to improve the effect and efficiency in radiology therapy. |
