With the continuous development of intelligentizing, the construction of more and more high buildings and the enlarged scale of living areas, people have higher and higher requests on electric power guarantee , fire control and monitoring power in time . In this case, from both application and practical sides, the dissertation introduces the on-line monitoring emergency power supply system for fire-protection with long-distance control which the data are transmitted by the different-structure net composed of RS485 and GPRS. The system could realize intelligentizing, automation, networking on the control of the power supply.Firstly, the general design project is put forward based on the ideas of cooperative design of soft- and hard- wares. The system includes EPS, communications networks and PC. At the same time the communication protocol based on MODBUS between the host computer and the terminals of EPS power supply is established.Secondly, egarding the control chip------PIC16F874A for EPS power supply andthe conversion one------EE87C196MC for DC/AC as the hardware's cores, thehardware of EPS is designed in detail;as well as the software of inverter and control parts.We can realize the control to the button state, Sampling and determine for parameters ,the output and communication.And can complete the DC to AC conversion smoothly.Thirdly,in order to bring about distributed on-line monitoring,heterogeneous network posed by RS485 and GPRS is used. The circuit of RS485 is designed and could realizes short-distance communication.The module of GPRS is choosed and the software is designed in detail.GPRS could complete long-distance communication.Fourthly, the software for the long distance control for the EPS power supply from the upper machine is developed. The software includes the management for EPS power supply, display of parameters, long-distance control and alarm etc.Fifthly, the commissioning and running of the system are done, and could basically achieve the effect and requirements of development. But the sine wave by generated inverter still has interference, and it could be filtered by the the improved circuit; the reliability of EPS should be improved further.
