Research On MDA-CIM Modeling And Its Transformation To PIM

In order for the enterprises with ERP system to reply quickly to the revolution of the competitions of markets, MDA is introduced into the ERP system. MDA can provide ERP development with clear levels and improve the efficiency of ERP development. MDA has four layers: Computation Independent Model (CIM), Platform Independent Model (PIM), Platform Specific Model (PSM) and CODE, and there exists model transformation between each two neighboring layers. The MDA's biggest advantage is the persistent value of CIM business model. However, the current enterprise modeling methodology can not fit CIM very well. So it is very meaningful to propose a set of enterprise modeling methodology which can make enterprise modeling effectively, can consider the requirement of implementing ERP and can provide model transformation to PIM layer.In this thesis, we study enterprise modeling in the layer of MDA-CIM and its model transformation to PIM layer.First, based on the analysis of a lot of enterprise modeling methodology and experience, we put forward an enterprise model in CIM level——ICE-CIM (Interoperable, Configurable&Executable CIM) model. The describing method and the modeling process of function/process view, organization view and information view of ICE-CIM model are demonstrated. Furthermore, we provide the formal definition and graphic expression of all model elements of every view, and then discuss the mapping relations among three views. The consistency of enterprise model is obtained via defining a set of consistent rules.Then, we discuss model transformation between ICE-CIM model and ICE-PIM model. The formal definition of ICE-PIM model is provided and the transformation rules are proposed. Based on the XML form of transformation rules, the model transformation is implemented and meanwhile we discuss the model transformation technology from CIM to PIM in MDA frame.Finally, we develop ICE-CIM modeling tool to support ICE-CIM modeling and its transformation to ICE-PIM model. We propose the design of ICE-CIM modeling tool from general to detail, discuss the design and key technology of every module, and provide an example to illuminate the system.
