As one kind of biometrics identification technology, fingerprint recognition technology has been used broadly in the fields of finance, public security, individual security, and anti-counterfeiting. Based on the analysis and surmise the research results of domestic and foreign scholars, this paper study the fingerprint recognition technology in an in-depth way. It proposes a multimode fingerprint technology based on classification factor, and validate it on the test platform built by us.In the first chapter, we introduce the significance of biometrics and fingerprint identification technologies, sum up the status of fingerprint recognition at home and abroad in recent years, and propose the remaining problems of it .We also introduce the research content and organizational structure of this paper.In the second chapter, we analysis some fingerprint acquisition technologies and compare them. Then doing researches on pre-procession such as image normalizing, segmentation, filtering, binarization and thinning and also obtain the processing results of every single module.In the third chapter, we study on the multimode fingerprint technology. First introduce the main structure of it, then analysis and compare the three matching mode, finally pick two of them as our multimode. At the same time, this chapter describes in detail how classification factor becomes.In the fourth chapter, we study on the FMT-based fingerprint recognition algorithm. This chapter introduces rotation registration of FMT algorithm, self-adapted correlation and peak energy mode. The experiment result shows the effectiveness of this algorithm. At last, generative process of compound fingerprint template has been introduced.In the fifth chapter, we introduce the test platform of multimode fingerprint recognition technology and overall frame structure of it. We also introduce the implementation of main function modules such as fingerprint pre-possessing module, fingerprint mode direction module, fingerprint spectrum-based matching module and fingerprint template module.In the last chapter, summarize the contents and the achievements of this paper, then point out the further research direction.
