Because of the uniqueness and immutability of fingerprint, the technique of fingerprint identification has become the most credible and developed biologic identification technique, and has been more and more widely used in diverse fields. Most of current auto fingerprint ideatification systems are based on PC platform. But with the development of the situation, the market requires miniaturization of these systems. The portability and easy handling of Embedded Auto Fingerprint Identificaion System satisfied the request well. So it gradually becomes the mainstream.This paper researched in Embedded Auto Fingerprint Identification System by combining embedded technique with fingerprint processing algorithm, introduced the whole system in hardware design, software design, algorithm transplant and optimization. This paper gives solutions to some key components and problems. The main work includes following aspects:First, this paper presents a practical and doable hardware scheme for implements of Embedded Auto Fingerprint Identification System, discusses hardware choosing and scheme design of every key module detailedly. This scheme uses PXA255 as the kernel, satisfying the request of auto fingerprint ideatification in most occasions.Secondly, this paper presents a complete software scheme for hardware platform, and explicates the design of ever function module. This scheme functions well, and it is easy to extend functions in this frame.Finally, this paper transplanted and optimized the algorithm, made it satisfy the real-time request. Considerating other literatures it summarizes some optimization rules and methods. These methods advanced the speed of the algorithm greatly. For general embedded software optimization, these rules and methods are also significant.Test proved that the portability, reliability, real-time and equipment cost of this fingerprint identification system is basically satisfying.
