A timing data-acquisition system with low power consumption is presented in this paper.This battery-operated system can automatically collect analog signals of multiple-channel at a given time in bad environment conditions.During suspended period,main part of it haves no power supply, it cuts down most power dissipation.In this way,it prolongs time of batteries service,and system can keep working for a long time. it can be used widely in the systems of hydrology, transpo- rtation, construction and so on.During the hardware designing, the principle of chip chooses is presented and designed the reset circuitry in the power down condition,the power manage unit,the channels of analog singals,EEPROM,real-time clock and the circuitry of humidity data acquisition. During the software designing, designed the controlled program of time-shared power ,at the same time,designed the firmware of USB with the PDIUSBD12, and simply introduced the hardware circuit.In this paper, discussed means of the low power consumption instrument designing and put forward the conception of ultra-low power consumption instrument and its designing measure.
