This paper researches on the design procedure of power amplifier and introduces the development history of linearization technology. According to the specification of GSM repeater power amplifier, radio frequency link design and network topology map of power amplifier are confirmed. Based on the power amplifier ---- Motorola MRF9060, a design way is established to implement power amplifier with triple amplifier circuit, which adopts single-tube amplifier structure. This paper analyzes the key circuit of power amplifier, and simulates the processing with the ADS comprehensive analysis software by Agilent Company. At first, This paper designs the output matching network according to the computational load impedance, then designs the input matching network which meets at the request of output power and collector efficiency; At last a 8 watt power amplifier is designed successfully, and PCB circuit diagram is protracted. Then the parameters of power amplifier are tested. The result indicates the IM3 value is less than 45dBc and the ripple in the pass band is less than 1dB,and the stability is also fine. The paper also concludes the experience in power amplifier design.Finally, the paper introduces the design process of a low noise amplifier in detail. According to the simulation result of the transistor S-Parameter, the input matching network of is designed to obtain the lowest noise coefficient, high gain and low VSWR through the lowest noise principle. The output matching network is conjugated matching, in order to ensure the stability of the low noise amplifier.
