| With the improvement of luminesce intensity and efficiency of light-emitting diode (LED), it applications gradually extend to the lighting and display area,and so on. With outstanding optical properties, particularly with the integration of LED, solar energy and computer control center, Light-emitting diode (LED) will become the main production of green solid efficient lighting and display. Because LED has a good prospect and a huge market, it makes more and more countries and regions invest in research and design of LED lighting, display and other related fields. It will also promote relevant fields further development, such as photonics, materials, energy, as well as the production of semiconductor chip and packaging industry.Based on the principle and property of LED, In view of some reliability problems in outdoor LED display,such as the impact of heat damage and the lean of structure,the paper put forward a new package type of elliptical structural LED.At first,it analyzes the problems that exist in the LED of outdoor display,and builds optical lens model of elliptical tube LED with Pro/E software, then it carry out simulation analysis in the use of TracePro software which is used in optical simulation,study the influence of various package parameters to LED efficiency;Next,it test and verify the simulation results by making and testing the samples of new type LED structure,and analyzes the differents between simulation and samples test;based on geometrical optics,it design new package structure of LED for outdoor display.The thesis makes a detaiLED study in the following aspects:(1) it analyzes the characteristics of LED, light-color theory,optical theory and the display theory,and so on.these theory laid a theoretical foundation for the new structure design of oval LED;(2) to the problems existed in the current outdoor display LED,it in-depth studies how to design structure,the way of thinking and the characteristics of new type for oval LED,and it selects parameters by using the way of dichotomy;(3) it discusses optical design software and the steps of computer-aided design,and it focuses on the optical simulation of new single-chip and multi-chip structure,selects the reasonable optimized parameters, and makes samples and tests them;(4) based on the theory of LED outdoor display,use the samples to make display module, analyze the color characteristics of the module which further validate the superiority of the new structure.Throgh the new structure design of oval LED,it is an effective solution to the reliability problems of the current outdoor display device.the new structure improve the efficiency of light-emitting and color characteristics,and increase the mounting efficiency.it has a great practical and good economic benefits. |
