The LED screen which is made up of LED module or cell is a sort of the modern plane display screen. There are many advantages, such as high lighteness, little energy expenditure, low fault rate, agile structure, long life, ample display content and display usage, etc. As the technology develops, the developmental directions of LED screen are higher lighteness, full-color, standardization, diversification, etc. The future of LED screen is much better as the information society grows, its application area and market spread quickly.Nowadays, the LED screen has met the market demand feckly, but there are still some problems which should be solved, such as the design and actualization of control system, production and combination of LED cell, the effect of display, etc. It is a pressing problem how to improve the key technologies which make the LED screen developing operably and valuably.In allusion to the key technologies and display speciality of LED full-color screen, this paper introduces the biologic vision character of human eyes, and the basic principle and controlling method of LED and LED screen firstly, then researches the design of LED display cell structure and analyses the theories about the uniformity of chroma and lighteness, the chroma fidelity, the display of vector Chinese characters, then brings forward some logical and doable solution scheme, at last does the simulation and practical tests. The detailed steps include: designing the structure of LED display cell, producing the samples and applying the patent for utility model; analyzing the reasons, results and finding out the solution about the difference of lighteness and chroma; studying the academic cause of chroma fidelity, analyzing the method of emendation and effect of practical test; analyzing the structure of vector Chinese character pattern, and displaying them by programme, etc.After studying the theories and application of the key technologies which are close with the display effect of LED screen, have some experiments and testing the sample, the result has attained the expectant request. It is valuable of the amelioration projects which are mentioned above in theory and practice.
