MIS is getting a necessary means of doing routine work, management and making a decision for many enterprises. MIS obtains related information by processing the data of the enterprises going on in order to control the action of enterprises and make a prediction for the future by making a good use of past and present data as well as related models and give a good aid for the management activities of the enterprises. College students'information management is a major task in college administration.School report used to be managed by manual operation. Administrative staff has been longing to use computer to deal with this. With the wide spread of computer, Internet has already come into our daily life and there are different demand to the use of Internet. Traditional managing pattern can't meet the need of modern office. In order to give full play to computer in college administration, campus network is vital to the students'information management. Network management can increase working efficiency and utilization ratio of resources, release the pressure of administration as the result of the number expansion, adapt to new situation of colleges'reform and improve the potential of manual resources. Through network, management system can classify, input, inquire and gain the needed information.The student information management system this paper develops is a typical MIS, in the process of design and development, this system assimilates some experience of the related system in order to develop a multi-function information management system.The foreground developing tools are JSP + Eclipse, in the background we use My-SQL as the supported database, under this circumstance, this paper uses the objected-oriented designing method, so we can use present popular software developing technology and methods, finish the programming development management quickly and effectively on the basis of 4 oriented programming designs. at the same time ensure the data safe, whole and accurate when being visited. This system will face 4 kinds of users: province, region, school and students. So it is necessary to make the management system netted. In order to meet the requirements of users, C/S and B/S structures are combined effectively, which is the best choice of the system solving plan, which is also the characteristic of the system. This system finished the students'routine management, such as: register management, choosing courses management, grades management and grant management. The following is the details of the management system explanation. Outline of the system. It is about the contents of the whole structure of the system, developing methods and key technologies. It is composed of 4 parts: that is sub- system of registration, choosing courses, grading management, and grants. The developing methods are Eclipse + JSP and My SQL. The main function of sub- system of register management: Beginning students'electronic registration finished: schools collect the information of registered students and report it to the chief department in the given time and finally summed at the department of vocational education of bureau of education for reference. Changed register management: When students registers need to be changed, for example: adjourning studying, beginning studying again, repeater ,accelerated students, checking in, checking out ,changing majors, changing courses, stopping studying, withdrawal, school can apply for the register change information by the system, the chief department can receive the applied information and make out a decision according to different real situations. When the application is permitted, the part of the school can make the change and report the information to the chief development. Teachers'courses arrangement: teachers can apply for, revise and manage related courses by using the system. Students'choosing courses: students can look up academic credit of learnt courses and choose related courses by the system. The main function of grades sub- management system: Feeding grades: it can be done by the teachers or teaching management department. The analysis of papers can be filled in and comments on students can be given. Checking the grades: teaching management department check and ensure the fed grades and add them to the sum store of graduates and forming the name lists of missing -examinees, re-examinees, grade position, which is checked and ensured by teaching management department. Grade inquiring: students inquire the grades by the Internet.All in all, the normal running of the system is the prerequisite of the School management, which is useful for the normalization of the scientific teaching, for various teaching administrative departments manage systematically and make reasonable decisions.
