| Wireless Mesh Network is a new type of wireless communication network, and gradually becomes one of the key technologies of the next generation wireless network. It is a critical solution for deploying large-scale wireless networks without relying on preexisting infrastructure. It also enables quick and easy extension of local area networks into wide area networks.This thesis is mainly studies on routing algorithm in Wireless Mesh Network. First, we presented a review on the development and current status of WMN. And then the definition, architecture, characteristics and application scenarios of WMN are briefly introduced. Thirdly, based on AODV routing protocol, a detailed analysis of HWMP routing protocol is given, and their respective advantages and disadvantages are compared. Then we evaluate the performance of HWMP routing protocol in wireless mesh networks, using network simulation tool OPNET. The results are discussed in detail.Finally, after a brief introduction of the integrated architecture of the simulation system and the role of routing module in the system, the framework and other modules of the system based on WLAN Mesh is presented in detail. And its usability is tested and analyzed. |
