The frequency of the resonator changes according to the temperature and the stress applied on it. This paper presents a new method using the force-frequency characteristic to improve the temperature-frequency characteristic of the resonator . the method is to use the force of the metallic electrode ,and the force of the metal plated on the quartz, the sensor of the plated metal distortions with the temperature , the force created due to the difference of the expanded rate with each other, the frequency changes according to the temperature and the stress at the same time, The technique introduced in the paper making these two characteristics work on each other to get the temperature compensated effect of overtone crystal oscillator. The theory foundation and realization of the compensation are given in detail, and the basis how to choose the interrelated parameters during the whole realization processing with this new method are offered by experiments. Just fundamental frequency crystals are compensated in traditional TCXO with analog method through controlling voltage, so the scope of crystal oscillator is limited. This new type temperature compensation crystal oscillator not only can obviously widen the scope of chosen crystal, get high frequency-temperature stability, but also can use AT-cut and SC-cut overtone ones. So we can span the scope to choose crystal. This new high stability crystal oscillator will can obviously improve the performances of traditional temperature compensated crystal in volume, cost and power, so can get wide space.
