| Smart antenna system combines multiple antenna elements with a signal processing capability to optimize radiation and/or reception pattern automatically according to the signal environment. It is an important technology of the 3rd generation mobile system. Smart Antennas can be used to reduce co-channel interference, reduce bit error rate (BER) and increase capacity.Combined with the design of *** communication system, the digital signal processing and its hardware design are analyzed in this dissertation. The details of this thesis are organized as follows:1. The signal models and adaptive beamforming algorithms, used in smart antenna, are introduced. Then the simulation of SMI algorithm is presented.2. The design of digital multi-mode receiver with direct sample in intermediate frequency is discussed in detail. The DBF algorithm LCMV is implemented on the hardware plat, based on ADSP-TS101S, The debugging of software and hardware are accomplished. The test results show the feasibility and effective of the software.3. The data quantity used in data synchronization is very large because the received signal is over-sampled. Firstly, multi-processor parallel processing technology is adopted. Then, combining with the hardware architecture, a kind of parallel ping-ponging processing algorithm, to complete data synchronization, is proposed. Thirteen bits barker code is used to synchronize data.4. In order to satisfy the requirement of real time processing, synchronization program is optimized. The computational complexity is less than 49.9% after optimization. The software program is modified according to the requirement of system measurement. |
