| With the rapid development of multimedia technology, the access rate offered by WCDMA R99 system can not catch up with the practical demand of greater bandwidth and more types of business services as it used to be. Through the introduction of HSPA+ technology, WCDMA system greatly enhances the user's access rate. However, as the access rate increases, how to guarantee the scheduling of Node B, to give full play to the advantages of access rate and to avoid congestion in Iub interface, become fatal for HSPA+ system. The inadequacies in the existing HSPA flow control algorithms, combined with new features brought by HSPA+, make the present HSPA flow control algorithm no longer suitable for HSPA+ system. Thus, a more effective flow control algorithms is needed for HSPA+ system, providing highly efficient operation. In this paper, HSPA+ systems and flow control theory are researched. The existing flow control method for HSPA system are analyzed, as well as the deficiencies of these algorithms. In response to these shortcomings, combined with the characteristics of HSPA+, a QoS-based flow control algorithm for HSPA+ system is presented and realized in this paper. Experimental results show that QoS-based HSPA+ flow control algorithm has performance superiority over traditional flow control algorithms. The algorithm is fit for HSPA+ and meets the flow control requirements of HSPA+ system. |
