Research On The Application Of Information Portal In The Digital Campus Construction

The development of information technology makes the traditional concepts of education, and teaching methods of higher school's confront challenges. In the context, there is necessary to build digital campus to realize education informationization. Currently, various high schools positively develop campus informationization, during the process, the integrate requirement of application, information and resource is increasingly imminence.The Digital Campus is an important system for driving education informationization, and also a hot research topic currently. As the key part of digital campus, portal will effectively integrates the gaps between many kinds of applications, and make the school users (teacher, student, administrator, external user, etc.) can tailor the individuation information content freely, deploy the user management, knowledge management, customization, safe and integration services which can meet very demanding harsh business portal requirement fleetly through the portal service.Information Portal is a web based system which can access kinds of information. Through a portal system, it integrates various information in the whole Digital Campus. Through this way, we can easily access to and manage various applications in the campus without having to consider the distribution structure. Users can get the convenient, fast, efficient and safe services.According to the practical applications in digital campus, this paper researched in the theory,standards,architecture and other background knowledge of the portal. What's more, it carried out the following studies: analyzed the demand, principles and technical of information portal, based them, designed and implemented the portal platform; analyzed the SSO and application integration technology. According to the content of digital campus, this paper built an information portal system which integrated some of the information resources in the campus.This study focused on building an integrated information portal platform, which involves many aspects of the technology, described at six chapters. The first chapter gave the introduction, purpose and significance. Chapter 2 researched in conception and technology of information portal. The chapter 3 researched and analyzed the design of portlet under the MVC pattern. In Chapter 4, there is a description about how to design the information portal. Chapter 5 integrated application of technology, showing the use of portal in the digital campus. Finally, there is the summarized and prospects.
