The Research & Realization Of The Dot Matrix USB Internet Phone System Based On The Skype Software

One network communications products known as "VOIP" already in people's eyes with computer technology, network technology matures and computer continuous influx of ordinary people in the family. Skype software is the world's leading VoIP software, not only supports the free video/audio communications under the network between computers ( PC-to-PC) ,also supports the call domestic and international long distance calls ,it makes a lot cheaper than through the network operators ,this makes Skype software sweeping the world ,and own over 300 million users .Skype software 's many other features to enable users have a convenient communication with enterprises , so more and more enterprises begin to use Skype software to replace the fixed telephone to contact customers .USB Internet phone is one of the Skype software 's crystallization .USB phone is integrated with the sound card, keyboard and other equipments ,has the plug-and-play feature ,by which makes the users is simpler and easier to dial and receive the call.This paper integrates USB technology ,Skype API technology ,dot matrix display technology ,based on Skype software, research and concretely realizes the dot matrix USB Internet Phone System .It has cell phone use and makes user conveniently to use Skype like to use cell phone , and has many functions as cell phone .This study included the production of hardware, firmware design and mainframe systems software design.This system has the usage method of cellular phone ,supports to dial & receive Skype ,review Skype Contact, call outgoing, call incoming and other history records , supports multiple party communication function ,even enable to choose some party to hold individually and mute hand-up,etc.This system supports multi-language display interface . Most functions of the system are from the host software,greatly reduces the cost of system hardware .This paper first describe the USB internet phone characteristic ,then introduce the overall framework of this system ,further on the specific hardware and software design ,finally ,sum up and prospect.
