With the development of the national economy, industrial hazardous chemicals are on the growing demand. Truck is a major method of hazardous chemicals transportation with flexible, fast and timely, convenient features . Traffic conditions have a direct influence on the safety of hazardous chemicals transportation. Especially as the number of vehicles and mileage of road increase, traffic conditions goes to worse. With the quantity of the truck transportation of hazardous chemicals increase, there are more hazardous chemicals transportation accidents. Statistics show that traffic accidents caused by dangerous chemicals accidents accounted for 58 percent , traffic accident is the main reason for the hazardous chemicals transportation accident. Statistics show that in 98 hazardous chemicals traffic accidents ,there are 68 accidents leads to chemical leak. This statistical probability shows that it is very probably that hazardous chemicals leaked when a traffic accident of hazardous chemicals transport truck happened.When hazardous chemicals leaked, the environment will be serious polluted and the local people's lives and property are threatened. Therefore, if hazardous chemicals tranport truck have accidents, they will cause more damage than noraml traffic accendents. Therefore, the security of hazardous chemicals truck is particularly important.There are many factors influence the safety of hazardous chemicals transport truck. The flaw of equipment and facilities is the most important factor. There are two types: one is about hazardous chemical containers packaging, fixed defects; the other is the defects in the vehicle itself, including braking, steering systems, traffic systems (tires,engines and other defects etc.).The background of this paper is from an objective, technical view to solve the safety problem of hazardous chemical transport truck, design a truck monitoring system used in the hazardous chemical transport truck. The main working principle of the system is to add some sensors to measure the key parameters that related to vehicle safety, such as turning the steering system space,the pressure of braking system, such as the temperature and pressure of tire, to determine vehicles'current safety status. In addition, for dangerous goods, we also measured the status of hazardous chemicals, including the temperature and pressure of the hazardous chemicals to ensuring safety.Hazardous chemicals truck monitoring system, including both hardware and software parts. Hardware includes industrial computer, data acquisition modules and sensors. Industrial computer We have chosen UNO2170 of Taiwan's Advantech.Not only its functions can meet the system requirements, but also it is suitable for harsh industrial environments,so is suitable for automotive monitoring systems.About data acquisition modules,we have chosen the modules of Advantech Corporation and Beijing Art Tech, these modules completed the fucitions include the input analog conversion, digital input isolation, serial conversion.They all are important components of the monitoring system. We use different sensors to measure different physical signals, and explain some principle of the measurements of complex signals.In the software development part,we use Microsoft's embedded operating system Windows CE, which has strong management of its hardware and visual development environment EVC4.0.It give us user-friendly developing platform,and we can program easily on it.We modularize the software design, and divided the software into four parts according to its functions,inculding data acquisition,data processing,data display,and data save.And point out that the relationship between these four module and described the function of each module and the design process in detail.The safety of hazardous chemicals truck is very important. How to evaluate the safety of the vehicle is a meaningful topic. In the traditional fuzzy control,the output of the control system is an accurate value, and used to be a controlled value. In this paper, we use the fuzzy control method to integrate the vehicle speed, the tire pressure and the load information to evaluate the safety of the vehicle creatively,and the output of the fuzzy control system is the safety value of the truck.
