With the trend of information society is increasingly clear, and information technology changes every day, the information industry is developing at any time. There is no doubt these have changed people's way of life and production. This has become an important impetus for economic development and growth of comprehensive national strength. As the key part of multimedia communication, multimedia synchronization has obtained great attention. Consisted of many different types of data, multimedia synchronization means maintain the time order of one or more media drift. Multimedia synchronization contains two types of synchronization: inside the media or outside the media. Now, researchers interested in two aspects of multimedia synchronization: description of multimedia synchronization and implement of multimedia synchronization.With the development of computer, networking and image processing, the video surveillance technology has a rapid evolution. By the initial simulation supervisory system, develops to the digitized local video supervisory system, and then develops to today's long-distance video supervisory system. It becomes to be a network transmission, processing digitization, and integration pattern system. The long-distance video supervisory system is a kind of long-distance supervisory system which takes the computer technology as a core, unifies the advanced multimedia technologies, network service technology and the digital image compress technique. Compares with the traditional simulation monitoring, it is not only more widespread, but has strong ant jam ability for transmission. It is easier to search and the system is easy to manage and vindicate.A key technology of long-distance video system is the synchronized technology. With the development and popularization of Internet, the communication manner of people has been developing from traditional voice to multimedia communication including voice, text, image and video. With the diversification of communication modes and the sharp development of the application in every field through the Internet, the quantity of multimedia information in Internet has been growing rapidly, there into, the multimedia information of video and audio is increasing the fastest. Thus, the real time synchronization of video and audio in multimedia communication has practical meaning. The main problems to be solved in real time synchronization transmission of video and audio are synchronized collecting, compression, synchronized transmission and information receiving, and synchronized play back of video and audio. The final intention is to realize the synchronized play of image and audio in the both client end and collection locale. The so-called synchronization of video and audio is that the time delay of image we saw and the audio we heard is little. The real time is to decrease the delay of the play end and the collection end, so people will not have obvious perceive. In addition, in applications of multimedia database structure, retrieval, searching and browsing, the synchronization of video and audio is also needed to realize the synchronized interactive retrieval and query of video and audio.Obviously, to achieve the synchronization of video and audio with a unified coding method is the research hotspots and important task. Video compression is the kernel technology of a video surveillance system. Video surveillance system should choose a suitable video compression in dependence on theirs demands. No video compress standard has been chosen to be a specialized standard in video surveillance systems. AVS is an intellectual property of second generation Source Coding and Decoding Standard owned by China.AVS is a set of standard system which includes system, video, audio, and media copyright management. It will be potentially used in digital video and audio industry of China. For this reason, a synchronous encoder of video embedded by audio based on AVS is coming out. This method makes audio signal as a hidden signal embedded in the encoding process of video. And then make the compression based in AVS.In this paper, it made a deeper discuss for the encoder of video and audio. Then it showed an adaptive motive encoding algorithm of embedding audio into video. By modification we develop a suitable encoder of video embedded by audio for network transmission. Simulating program took VC++ as a platform, developed a network system by the synchronization of video and audio. This paper designed a synchronous encoder of video embedded by audio in AVS.The embedded method that this paper described is actually to use the odd-even difference for the embedded tags. Easily speaking, if the embedded bit is 1, the designated point in the video encoding block must be an odd-numbered; If the embedded audio bit is 0, the designated point in the video encoding block must be a even-numbered. This method has a 50% chance that we should do nothing to make a embedded tags. It will minimize the changes in the video block. Because it is a adaptive method, it is very stabile.In order to study the generic algorithm, this paper of AVS encoder tests five kinds of different standards and each format uses four different sequences. (That is, four kinds of changes in the degree of movement of the sequence)The experimental results show that after using adaptive synchronization algorithm, embedded systems brought about by less than3%overhead.The impact of video is small, changes in the subjective test is also very difficult to detect, objective test of the PSNR drop less than0.24dB,reached the expected goal.
