Design And Realization Of Multi-function Electronic Notebook

With the popularization of computer technology, the application of handwriting input devices becomes more and more widespread. Multi-function electronic notebook which uses the union of infrared and ultrasonic locating technology to achieve real-time natural handwriting input, can be widely used in teaching, conferences, lectures and so on with the use of general office software.Multi-function electronic notebook can work with the interactive whiteboard, the voting instruments, mini-whiteboard to achieve "all-digital education instruments platform"; User-friendly features designing supplies the conditions for the long-range teaching, long-range answer, and deepens the electronic educational technology applications in teaching, improves some of the disadvantages in the traditional way of teaching, greatly improves the quality of teaching. The birth of the Multi-function electronic notebook promotes both the classroom and the extra-curricular teaching, at the same time it conforms to "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" of the information network teaching trends and has great realistic and long-term significance.This article is based on the Mini-wireless location Whiteboard and U disk note-book which have been developed by my group and completes the multi-functional electronic notebook's overall design and functions based on the need of both and products and users'needs. Its features are: 1) Multi-function notebook is compact, light weight and easy to carry; 2) It retains the traditional habit of hand-writing, users can easily handle it without proficient in computer technology; 3) The mouse function can be used in any smooth plane, different from similar products which must depend on the white board function or the computer monitor; 4) The mouse and wireless hand-written two functions can switch to each just depend on the host computer handwriting software's open and close, it is easy to use and user-friendly.This paper is divided into seven chapters, the specific contents are as follows:Chapter 1 briefly expatiates on the modern office and teaching development trend. The advantages and social values of the U-disk-notebook are discussed. The status of the research is introduced and the overall structure of the full text is outlined at the same time.Chapter 2 introduces the overall Multi-function electronic notebook design idea, and briefly expatiates on the characteristics of HID class devices and the USB driver structure and the differences of different driver levels.Chapter 3 introduces the design and implementation of the hardware circuit.Chapter 4 introduces the design of the time-capturing and the mouse firmware programming. Improve the effectiveness of signal extraction near the sensors and realize the mouse function including movement and left and right key functions at the same time.Chapter 5 introduces the design and the programming of the filter driver, completes the wireless hand-writing input, mouse function and wireless hand-writing functions switch to each other automatically.Chapter 6 tests the whole the system function and analysis the test results, then gives the capability parameters of the system.Chapter 7 is the summarization and expectation of this paper which has summarized the main task of the paper and also has pointed out some problems which need to be figured out.The main tasks and contributions of this paper are as follows:1. In this paper, according to the needs of users and products, with the in-depth study of the USB and HID protocol, I use PIC18F4550 to design the whole hardware of the multi-function electronic notebook, in order to write better I use the new signal pen to replace the old type, and design a complete program to capture the signal delay at the same time.2. This article completes the programming and the debugging of the mouse firmware, successfully defines the multi-function electronic notebook device into a USB mouse(equipment), and puts the capture program into the firmware so that the signal pen be used as a wireless USB mouse.3. This article completes the programming and the debugging of the filter driver, and successfully intercepts the information of the mouse that is to be sent and gives them to the application software which will process them into handwriting information and realizes the wireless hand-writing function.4. In this paper, the handwriting mode and mouse mode can automatically switch to each other by the PC handwriting software and filter driver working together. This article brings the project forward and realizes it.The innovations of this paper are as follows: 1. The Multi-function electronic notebook is a USB mouse (equipment) different from other electronic note-books. It can provide both wireless hand-writing and"mouse"information.2. Hand-writing mode and mouse mode can automatically switch to each other, this article brings the project forward, namely using the filter driver and PC handwriting application software to work together, so when you open the application it is a pen; when you close the application, it is a mouse. It is easy to use and user-friendly.
