Automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) is the outstanding result of the development of such modern logistics technology, storage technology and automation technology, which is the integration of storage, transportation and distribution. AS/RS is being applied more and more widely and composed of many subsystems. In order to ensure the optimal performance of the whole system, the operation of every subsystem needs to be optimized and scheduled. To the optimum control problem of the typical lage system discrete event, the research and application of the optimization and simulation of every subsystem have very great practical application value to improve the operation efficient of AS/RS and distribute the logistics equipment of that warehouse rationally.In this paper, the development of AS/RS and the proper study and application status of the national and international research are analyzed deeply. Hence, the optimum problem of stracker order-picking route is presented in this paper. Then according to motion principle of stracker order-picking operation, the mathematic model of order picking problem is established based on least time. Morover the target functions and the restricted conditions are defined. In the end under the analysis of such mathematic model of the sorting route optimum problem, this optimum problem is resolved by the application of immune particle swarm optimaztion (PSO) combined with genetic algorithm (GA).Another research emphasis is the buildup of the distribution center by the application of FLEXSIM and the realization of the algorithm combined GA and immune PSO to optimize stracker order-picking route problem. Then the system is analyzed and simulated in different order picking. In the end, the combined algorithm is verified effectively in improving the picking efficency of AS/RS by analysis of simulation data. And the simulation model of this system lay a foundation for simulation study of other system.
