A Study Of Key Technologies Of Mobile Learning Platform Solution Based On WAP

A standard way of the mobile communication terminal connecting to the Internet is given by WAP technology so that the mobile devices can easily access Internet information which has unified format. Tremendous Internet information and rapid popularization of mobile made tremendous development potential of WAP application. Mobile office, mobile-government and e-commerce based on WAP is rapidly moving into the hands of people.Mobile learning is a new teaching model which uses portable devices to achieve the teaching organizations, academic management, resource distribution. Nowadays, colleges and universities across the country have been built WEB-based information platform for the campus, academic information management platform and distance learning platform, and the vast majority of students have cell phones or other mobile communications equipment. Therefore, using campus network resources in WEB and combining with mobile communication technology, to provide mobile information services is becoming the hot spots of research and application of the next generation campus network. As the 3G era, to provide long-range multimedia mobile learning by the campus information network will not long.There are differences between computers and the portable devices such as mobile phones and PDA, so some WEB network resources can not be directly used for WAP network.A solution of a mobile learning platform is given by this paper. It is includes information dissemination module, academic management, courseware teaching and video teaching. The key issues of resources conversion and data sharing in the system are In-depth study. So a conversion method from PPT courseware to WAP pages is given, and also study a common data interface module which can access traditional campus network, to achieve the data sharing.
